Everest is a 2015 drama and adventure film. The film is based on the real events of the 1996 Mount Everest disaster and focuses on the survival attempts of two expedition groups.

Based on the media hype, I decided to watch the movie. Moreover, it was one of the topics of discussion for some time on one of my WhatsApp group as well. So decided to catch-up with the movie, and booked the movie for the 9.30 AM show.

It was a decent experience. The movie revolves around the tragedy of 1996 in which 8 people died during the expedition. The cinematography of the movie was superb. The shots are breathtaking and awesome. It was a 3D movie and hence the experience was different. I think the director has stick to the actual facts and hence feel that the movie indeed is truly based on the real facts.


The movie was ok, good to watch once I guess. I felt as if something was missing. The movie was little depressing at times and hence definitely not a good thought to watch during start of the day. I would give 3.5 out of 5 ratings.

Three friends or shall we say three musketeers, set out to take the challenge and complete the trek from Tirupati to Tirumala. In the past one year, we had been to Tirupati 3 or 4 times. Trip to Vaishno Devi

Jai kara shera wali da, bol sache darbar ke jai! This was a trip, long due for me. Last time I visited Vaishno Devi was some three years back I guess. I was making plans ever since I decided that I will be going to Delhi in Dec to spend time with my extended family. This time of the year, it’s very cold, in Delhi and even colder at Vaishno Devi and hence less people are expected to visit. Therefore, the officials keep both the caves open and hence you can have good darshan at the Bhawan as well. I reached Delhi on 17th November 2011 and started making my plans for the trip. Spoke to couple of friends who agreed to join me on the trip. But, there is a saying. You will visit Vaishno Devi shrine only if there is an invitation for you from Mata.
